Abstract

PURPOSE:To sharper the zero crossing point of a differential waveform and to derease jitters in read data which is made like a pulse by providing a nonlinear push-pull amplifier and a constant current circuit which is so adjustable that the band of a read signal waveform is narrowed. CONSTITUTION:The nonlinear push-pull amplifier 15 is constituted of elements 8A-14B, and the constant current circuit 22 is constituted of elements 16-21. The current value of the circuit 22 is varied by means of a current adjusting variable resistor 20 to adjust a bias voltage, and thus the waveform of a read signal is narrowed. That is, the waveform of a read signal is made sharper by making use of the nonlinearity of VBE-IC characteristic of transistors 8A, 8B, 9A, 9B. By turning on/off a current value change-over transistor 18, the waveform equalization effect is improved by switching the base bias voltages of the transistors 8A, 8B, 9A, 9B between the inner periphery and the outer periphery, also, a symmetrical waveform can be obtained by connecting the transistors 8A, 8B, 9A, 9B in push-pull constitution.
