Abstract

PURPOSE: To adjust the amount of compensation easily, by using a field effect transistor as a voltage variable resistive element for a nonlinear distortion caused for input and output characteristics of a transmission line due to saturation of an amplifier.
CONSTITUTION: When a signal S is applied to an input terminal 1, it is given to the gate of an FET 8 and an expanded output is produced at an output terminal 4. This output is converted into a symmetrical output Q at a filter 19 of high frequency rejection. When the entire input and output characteristics are desired to be changed, it is done by changing the bias through an adjustment resistor 18. The entire input and output characteristics can be linear by the adjustment in response to the nonlinearity of saturation characteristics of a transmission line. Since a choke coil 12 shows a high impedance to high frequency signals, a gate terminal 5 can not be fixed to -Vc.
