Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase screen distortion correction quantity and to reduce power loss by using a differentiation circuit so as to find out a change point for a change in a CRT beam due to the contrast of a displayed screen, applying waveform shaping, integrating the result by an integration circuit so as to correct the screen distortion caused by the contrast change on the display screen. CONSTITUTION:In order to apply the voltage conversion to a change in a beam current, the secondary coil of a flyback transformer FBT 14 is connected to a power supply via a resistor. Since the beam current is nearly equal to a current flowing to the secondary side of the FBT 14, a voltage proportional to the beam current is obtained across the resistor 25. Moreover, even when a resistor is inserted between the secondary coil of the FBT 14 and ground, the same effect is obtained. Then a differentiation waveform shaping circuit 22 detects a change point in the beam current change represented across the resistor 25, generates a rectangular wave according to the change point, integrates the rectangular wave and obtains an object screen distortion correction waveform. Thus, power loss is less with simple circuit constitution and versatile screen distortion is corrected easily.
