Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the subject unit working in such a way that, when a yarn breakage occurs, a suction pipe moves, collectively cuts the remaining yarns on a drum, and discharges them out of the system, a preliminary winding around the drum is made, and an insert hooks a yarn, moves on the axial line of a nozzle, and approaches the nozzle, and then insertingly release the yarn, thereby assuring the yarn to be threaded. CONSTITUTION: This nozzle threading unit works as follows: when a yarn breakage occurs between a yarn feed drum D and a nozzle N and holding pin P halts the unreeling of a weft Y, a suction pipe 24 moves, collects the remaining yarns on the drum D while abutting on them, cuts them by the aid of a cutter mechanism and discharges them out of the system, and then returns to the initial position; subsequently, a specified times of a preliminary winding around the drum D is made, a pusher 39 is then moves from the tip of a guide member 27 downward, and simultaneously moves a yarn Y between the holding pin P and the suction pipe 24 to a position indicated by a dashed line, then rises to guide the yarn Y onto the opening of the guide member 27; thereafter an insert 38 hooks on the yarn Y, moves on the axial line of the nozzle where the insert 38 approaches the nozzle and cuts off the hook with the yarn Y and the aid of the cutter mechanism of the suction pipe 24 to effect sucking the yarn Y into the nozzle N, thereby assuring the yarn Y to be threaded.
