NEW MATERIAL:A nitrobenzene derivative expressed by formula I (Z is atomic group required in forming imidazole ring, pyrazole ring or triazole ring which may be substituted; R are >=2C straight-chain alkyl and branched alkyl and phenyloxy substituted alkyl which may be substituted). EXAMPLE:A compound expressed by formula II. USE:Useful as a nonlinear optical material having good solubility to polymers. PREPARATION:For example, reaction is carried out as shown in the reaction formula to provide the compound expressed by formula I. As the base, e.g. pyridine, triethylamine or potassium carbonate is used. As the solvent, e.g. n-hexane or tetrahydrofuran is used. Reaction is preferably carried out at -10-150 deg.C, especially preferably 20-100 deg.C.
