Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition having delayed disintegration time, by blending raw material granules for high test hypochlorite tablets consisting essentially of calcium hypochlorite with sucrose ester of a fatty acid. CONSTITUTION:The titled composition obtained by blending raw material granules for high test hypochlorite tablets consisting essentially of calcium hypochlorite with >=70wt.% available chlorine content with sucrose ester of a fatty acid (preferably 12-22C fatty acid) in an amount of 0.5-5wt.% based on the raw material granules. The disintegration time of the tablets can be delayed by blending the sucrose ester of the fatty acid without regulating size of crystals or blending crystals of various sizes. The high test hypochlorite having a short disintegration time is used for sterilizing pool water and the hypochlorite having a long disintegration time is used for purifying tanks.
