Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain FR-900482 substance having high production and useful in pharmacological field such as antitumor, by cultivating a specific bacterium strain in a culture medium added by one or more kind of compounds selected from D-glucosamine, 3-amino-5-hydroxy benzoic acid, etc. CONSTITUTION:Streptomyces sundanense No.6897 bacterium strain is inoculated to a culture medium prepared by adding D-glucosamine or 3-amino-5-hydroxy benzoic acid or salts thereof (e.g. alkali metal salt) singly or in combination at an amount of 5-0.001wt.% to a culture medium consisting of glucose, meat extract, metal phosphate, etc. Then cultivation product obtained by cultivating the resultant culture medium at about 30 deg.C for 30-150hr is separated and purified to provide the FR-900482 substance expressed by the formula [chemical name: 4-formyl 6,9-dihydroxy-14-oxa-1,11-diazatetracyclo(7.4.1. O<2>,<7>, O<10>,<12>) tetradeca-2,4,6-triene-8-ylmethylcarbamate].
