Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate automatic control of tilling depth of a rotor, by comparing preset tilling depth with actual tilling depth detected by a tilling depth detection sensor and moving an engine in machine direction and a tail wheel in vertical direction according to the comparison result. CONSTITUTION:When the tilling depth H during cultivation is shallower than the preset tilling depth H0, each hydraulic cylinder S1-S3 is actuated by each directional control electromagnetic valve V1-V3 to retreat an engine E and lift a tail wheel 6 relative to a frame 2. The resistance applied to a resist bar 8 increases by this action to increase the tilling depth H of the rotor 4. When the tilling depth H of the rotor 4 reaches the preset depth H0, each directional control valve V1-V3 is turned to neutral position to stop the action of each hydraulic cylinder S1-S3. When the tilling depth H during the cultivation is deeper than the preset depth H0, each hydraulic cylinder S1-S3 is actuated in the direction opposite to the above case to proceed the engine E and lower the tail wheel 6 relative to the frame 2. Accordingly, the resistance applied to the resist bar 8 decreases to decrease the tilling depth H of the rotor 4. The tilling depth H of the rotor 4 can be automatically controlled to an almost constant level.
