Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled titanium alloy by specifying the compsn. consisting of Al, V, Sn, Zr, Mo, Cr, Fe, O and Ti, the ratios of the component phases and the ratios of a phase and beta phase reinforcing elements. CONSTITUTION:The titled titanium alloy contains, by weight, 6.9-7.5% Al, 1.6-2.0% V, 0.4-0.7% Sn, 0.8-1.2% Zr, 0.3-0.7% Mo, 0.7-1.1% Cr, 3.0-3.4% Fe, 0.08-0.16% O and the balance consisting essentially of Ti, as well as consists of 30-70% alpha phase and the balance beta phase at 850 deg.C and is furthermore constituted of the elements in the area of 7.30-7.50 Al+Sn/3+Zr/6 and 11.0-13.0 Mo+V/1.5+Cr/0.6+Fe/0.35. Said alloy has excellent super plastic characteristics, high temp. specific strength and ductility.
