Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce wind noise at time of strong wind and to improve the quality of sound recording by providing an attenuator to switch the output signal of a unidirectional microphone and a non-oriented microphone with a control signal obtained at a deciding part. CONSTITUTION:The output signal of a single directional microphone 1 is converted into a direct current signal through an amplifier 2 and a level detecting part 3. The output signal of an non-oriented microphone 4 is also converted into the direct current signal through an amplifier 5 and a level detecting part 6. These two signals are compared at a deciding part 7 and it is judged whether the wind noise or a voice signal is obtained. In case of the wind noise, an attenuator 8 makes an one side output signal to branch the output signal of the microphone 1 into a low gain and makes an one side output signal to branch the output signal of the microphone 4 into a high gain by a control signal outputted from the part 7 and switches it. Thus, the outputs of the microphone 1 and 4 are automatically and successively switched, the output of the microphone 4 is outputted from an output terminal 9 at time of the wind noise is reduced and operability can be improved.
