Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize a simple and inexpensive FM signal processor without requesting the excessive performance to a semiconductor device, by dividing an emphasis circuit into an analog emphasis circuit and a digital emphasis circuit and obtaining the overall emphasis characteristics. CONSTITUTION:The output digital TCI color signal (a) of an encoder circuit 1 is partly emphasized by a digital pre-emphasizer 16 at an FM modulation part and then converted into an analog TCI color signal by a D/A converter 14. This analog color signal is emphasized again by an analog pre-emphasizer 17 and undergoes the FM modulation via an FM modulator 15. While at an FM demodulation part, input FM modulation signal is demodulated by a demodulator 20 and then de-emphasized by an analog de-emphasis circuit 23. Thus a waveform having the increased video signal amplitude is reset to its original form and inputted to an A/D converter 21 after the signal input level is reduced to the next stage. Then the signal is partly de-emphasized by a digital de-emphasis process of a de-emphasis circuit 24 after said conversion. Thus the color signal is produced again by a decoder circuit 30.
