Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the output signal of an extremely stable photodetector having no dependence on the temperature change, by changing the reading potential of light receiving photodetector element in response to the change due to the temperature of the output current of a reference photodetector which is shielded from the light. CONSTITUTION:The signal current Iref of a reference CMD 12 shielded from the light undergoes the current/voltage conversion via an amplifier 13 received the feedback with an impedance 14 for output of the reference voltage Vref. This output is inputted to a logalithm compression circuit 20 and the compression output of the circuit 20 serves as the signal Vc to control the reading potential of a receiving CMD 11. When the temperature changes by T, the current Iref of the CMD 12 is changed to Iref2 from Iref1. In such a case, the change Vc of the signal Vc is equal to a logarithm of Iref2/Iref1. Then the CMD 11 is driven by the output signal phiG2 of a CMD 11 drive signal generating circuit 22 which outputs the reading potential in response to the change Vc. Thus a signal current Isig having no dependence on the temperature is obtained. This current Isig is applied to an amplifier 15 fed back with an impedance 16. Thus the output voltage Vout having no dependence on the temperature is obtained.
