Abstract

PURPOSE:To receive both horizontal and vertical linear polarized waves simultaneously and to improve the cross polarized wave characteristics, by laminating a radiating element circuit, two types of feeder circuits and a ground circuit onto an earth conductor via the dielectric layers. CONSTITUTION:A radiating element circuit 1 contains plural radiating elements 5 having patch elements 7 arranged into a matrix form within a square and circular slot 6. The elements 7 are formed into square or round forms so that the vertical or horizontal polarized waves can be received. While two types of feeder circuits 2a and 2b are electromagnetically connected to the circuit 1 and supply electric power to the elements 5 via the feeder lines 10a and 10b orthogonal to each other. A ground circuit 4 is set between both circuits 2a and 2b and plural slots 9 having sizes approximately equal to the outer dimensions of elements 5 are formed to the circuit 4. In such a constitution, both vertical and horizontal linear polarized waves can be received simultaneously and at the same time the coupling states can be avoided between circuits 2a and 2b as well as between lines 10a and 10b. Thus the satisfactory cross polarized wave characteristics can be obtained.
