Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain stable transmission and reception characteristics with simple structure by composing some part of a housing of the lamination of a dielectric layer and a conductor layer, by providing a linear antenna of a conductor film on the dielectric layer, and by providing a monopole antenna perpendicularly to it. CONSTITUTION:On the housing 1 of a portable radio transmitter-receiver, the lamination of a conductor plate 2 and a dielectric plate 3 stacked on it is provided, a loop antenna 4 is printed on the dielectric plate 3, and a monopole antenna 5 is further provided, penetrating the dielectric plate, in the center of the antenna 4. The antenna 4 is connected to the external conductor 6 and internal conductor 7 of a coaxial cable, and the antenna 5 to the internal conductor 8 of the coaxial cable. The antenna 4 operates on an electric field in the direction of an arrow 10, and the antennar 5 operates on that in the direction of an arrow 9. Then since the operating electric field direction cross each other at right angles, those tow antennas operate independently of each other and are used by being switched to obtain the operation of a polarization diversity antenna.
