Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a sensitive body having high mechanical strength, capable of giving a fine image and hardly undergoing deterioration in the electrophotographic characteristics at high temp. and humidity, by using a specified acrylic copolymer as a resin binder. CONSTITUTION:A copolymer obtd. by copolymerizing an acrylic monomer compsn. ensuring balanced electrophotographic characteristics with reactive groups in (meth)acrylic ester having a reactive epoxy group, itaconic acid and acrylamide is used as a resin binder. Since the reactive groups are present, the resin binder is cured by slight heating for drying in the production of an electrophotographic sensitive body and the cured binder is not deformed by heat and pressure. The resulting sensitive body contg. the resin binder withstands rubbing and winding pressures and deterioration in the electrophotographic characteristics at high temp. and humidity is remarkably improved.
