Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the coefficient of performance by arranging a heat exchanger for exchanging heat with refrigerant in piping for returning refrigerating machine oil, delivered along with refrigerant during operation of an enclosed refrigerant compressor, back to the compressor while separating from the refrigerant thereby returning the machine oil under a state balanced both in pressure and temperature to the suction side of the compressor. CONSTITUTION: Refrigerating machine oil delivered from an enclosed refrigerant compressor 1, along with high pressure high temperature refrigerant, is passed through an oil separator 2 and fed to a heat exchanger 9. The machine oil passes through the heat exchanger 9 while being distributed and the pressure thereof drops. At the same time, heat of the machine oil is passed through a refrigerant expansion valve 5 and exchanged with low pressure low temperature two-phase refrigerant passed through the expansion valve 5. Consequently, the machine oil has such temperature as causing no trouble when it is sucked into the compressor 1. Furthermore, two-phase refrigerant passed through the heat exchanger 9 is partially evaporated through heat exchange with the machine oil and fed to an evaporator 6 where it is subjected to latent heat exchange to produce a thoroughly evaporated refrigerant which is separated by an accumulator 7 and only gaseous refrigerant is sucked into the suction valve of the compressor 1 along with the machine oil.
