Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve safety and operability by installing a cam on a pinion shaft for speed change operation of a variable speed mechanism to rotate with the pinion shaft, and installing a position detection switch to detect a rotation angle of the pinion shaft close to the cam to get in contact with it. CONSTITUTION: A cam 13 is installed on a pinion shaft 5 for speed change operation of a variable speed mechanism 2 of a hoist assembled between a hoist motor 1 and a speed reduction mechanism 11 to rotate with it. Close to the cam 13, a position detection switch 14 to detect a rotation angle of the pinion shaft 5 is installed to get in contact with the cam 13. In addition, relative position relation between the cam 13 and the position detection switch 14 is set to either of low speed and high speed output ranges of the variable speed mechanism 2. To this switch 14, a display means to display an on-condition of it is connected. Prior to driving operation to the hoist by an operator, therefore, the operator is easily capable of recognizing if speed adjustment in starting the hoist is set either in the low speed or high speed output range.
