Abstract
PURPOSE:To remove excess ionic components in the waste liq. and to utilize the waste liq. as the fertilizer of nitrogen, etc., by applying adsorption and separation to the residual liq. from the crystallization of raw sugar, and then electrodialyzing the generated waste liq. CONSTITUTION:Adsorption and separation are applied to the residual liq. from the crystallization of raw sugar into sucrose, glucose, fructose, their mixture, etc., and the generated waste liq. is electrodialyzed. The electrodialysis is carried out by imparting an electrical driving force to the ion contained in water through an ion-exchange membrane, and permeating only the ion having a charge opposite to the membrane through the membrane to separate the ion. By such waste liq. treatment, the excess ionic components in the waste liq. are removed by electrodialysis, and the treated waste liq. can be effectively utilized as the fertilizer of nitrogen, etc.
