Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic machine with a flow control valve is protected by a discharge valve 2 arranged in the same branch pipe 1 as the hydraulic machine and responding to the flow control valve. In this case, a pressure switch 3 detecting the water pressure in the branch pipe 1 on the upstream side of the discharge valve 2 is provided as a means to detect the malfunction of the discharge valve 2. An oil pressure switching solenoid valve 4, an adjustable orifice 5 arranged on the oil discharge side, and a differential piston cylinder 6 are provided respectively as a forced discharge valve opening device which is an operating mechanism operated by the detection signal of the pressure switch 3. On the other hand, an auxiliary servo-motor 9 is driven via a motor 8 so that the opening of the discharge valve 2 is controlled by a control unit 7 based on the opening of the flow control valve.
