Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain the suppression of the frequency of refresh control due to transfer error by selecting a reference frame as a frame ensuring transmittal confirmation without fail so as to avoid waste of transferred information. CONSTITUTION:A reference frame stored it an incoming terminal set is extracted from a memory 22 based on a reference frame number set to a block at the incoming terminal set and picture information is reproduced from the reference frame and difference information. Moreover, a transmittal acknowledge exclusive block set with a reception number field is generated from the transmission frame number of the information transfer block received normally and the result is returned to the outgoing terminal set. The outgoing terminal set discriminates the time sequence between the frame to the reception frame number of the recent transmittal acknowledge block with and the frame stored in the memory 20 before N-period and selects a newer frame in both the frames as the reference frame. Since the reference frame is the frame ensuring transmittal acknowledge without fail, no waste exists in the transferred information and the frequency of occurrence of refresh control due to transfer error is suppressed.
