CONSTITUTION:A black-and-white silver halide photosensitive material is exposed, developed, fixed and processed with a stabilizing soln. or washing water contg. a compd. represented by formula I (where each of R1-R3 is alkylene which may have an ether bond, R1 and R3 or R2 and R3 may form a ring, each of X and Y is H, alkyl, amino, ammonium, hydroxyl, carboxyl, sulfo, aminocarbonyl or aminosulfonyl, X and Y may form a ring and n is an integer of 0-10). During the processing, a replenisher is used by <=2l per 1m<2> photosensitive material.
