Abstract

PURPOSE:To employ common parts and to reduce machining manpower by regulating eccentric amount between a common main shaft section and a crank section properly thereby manufacturing various crankshafts having different strokes. CONSTITUTION:In a crankshaft 10, joint flange 11a at main shaft section 11 is welded eccentrically to the joint flange 12a at crank section 12. Eccentric amount (e) between the main shaft section 11 and the crank section 12 is regulated properly according to the welding position of both joint flanges 11a, 12a. Consequently, plural types of crankshafts 10 having different strokes can be manufactured easily and quickly with the common main shaft section 11 and the crank section 12. As a result, common parts can be employed in the main shaft section 11 and the crank section 12, and thereby machining manpower and manufacturing cost can be reduced when compared with a conventional cast crankshaft.
