Abstract
PURPOSE: To accelerate refrigerating of food placed in an auxiliary cooler by supplying a refrigerant thereto in the case of desirably refrigerating an icemaking tray or the food in a short time by providing the cooler as part in a refrigerating chamber for placing an article. CONSTITUTION: When an icemaking tray filled with water or food before freezing is contained in a refrigeration accelerating chamber 18, a temperature of an auxiliary cooler 13 is raised. When this temperature becomes a predetermined upper limit temperature or higher, a controller 21 shifts a switch 21A to a contact (b) based on a sensed temperature of a temperature sensor 17, closes a switch 21B to operate a solenoid valve 14, and transfers a refrigerant flowing to a second capillary tube 24 to a main cooler 7 from a third capillary tube 25 via the cooler 13. Simultaneously, a motor-operated compressor 11 and a motor 8A are forcibly operated regardless of an operating state of a temperature controller 26. Thus, the tray or food in the chamber 18 is directly cooled by heat conduction via the cooler 13 together with cold gas by the cooler 7, and the refrigeration is accelerated. The acceleration of the refrigeration is finished by shifting the switch 21A to the contact (a), and opening the switch 21B.
