Abstract
PURPOSE:To rapidly and efficiently discharge generated exhaust gas into back sand and to surely prevent residual defect and carbon pickup by forming gas vent hole on coating surface at outer peripheral part of a lost-wax pattern. CONSTITUTION:The lost-wax pattern 1 formed into the prescribed shape with foam polystyrene, etc., is buried into back sand 4 to form the mold 5. At the time of casting, molten metal 6 is poured into the mold 5 under reduced pressure condition in the back sand 4. The lost-wax pattern 1 disappears with heat of the molten metal 6 poured in the mold 5 and a product having the same shape of the lost-wax pattern 1 is cast. Further, as the gas vent member 2 having the same material as the lost-wax pattern 1 also loses when the lost-wax pattern 1 loses, the gas vent hole 7 is formed on the coating layer 3 at the part fitting the gas vent member 2. Then, the exhaust gas of the polystyrene gas, etc., generated when the lost-wax pattern 1 disappears, is rapidly discharged into the back sand 4 from the gas exhaust hole 7 and the discharge of the exhaust gas is efficiently executed.
