Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a microorganism, belonging to Pseudomonas aminovorans and capable of vigorously assimilating tetraalkylammonium salts for growth and propagation. CONSTITUTION:A microorganism, belonging to Pseudomonas aminovorans and capable of assimilating at least tetramethylammonium salt as tetraalkylammo nium salts. Among mycological properties thereof, this bacterium is a Gram-nega tive monomethylamineassimilating bacterium and identified as a microorganism belonging to Pseudomonas aminovorans which is a monomethylamineassimilating bacterium, since the bacterium has pole flagella with 63.5 mol% contents of guanine and cytosine (GC), C181 monounsaturated fatty acids as main microbial cell fatty acid compositions and C120 3-hydroxy acids as main hydroxy acids and forms white or yellowish white colonies and the quinone type is ubiquinone Q-10. The cultivation is aerobically carried out under condition of 20-42 deg.C temperature and pH 5.5-8.5.
