Abstract

PURPOSE:To retrieve heat in exhaust gas effectively without generating the aggravation of the exhaust gas and utilize it as radiation heat, by a method wherein an exhaust tube, constituted of a heat rays transmitting material, is connected to the downstream of a combustion chamber while a member to be heated, which carries an oxidizing catalyst, is arranged in the exhaust tube. CONSTITUTION:Fuel, evaporated from a wick 1, is mixed with air, entering through air holes 3, in an evaporating chamber 2 and a part of it forms small flame here while most of it ascends as unburnt mixture. Mixture, supplied with air of sufficient amount through secondary air ports 4, flows between a glass tube 6 and a combustion catalyst 5 while radiation heat is dissipated out of the combustion catalyst 5, heated by reaction heat, and is radiated to the surroundings of the same through a glass tube 6, covering the circumference of the catalyst, so as to serve for heating, room heating and the like. The exhaust tube 7 is filled with members 18 to be heated and heat is transferred from high-temperature exhaust gas to the members 8 to be heated. The exhaust tube 7 is constituted of a glass tube; therefore, the glass tube transmits radiation heat generated by the members 8 to be heated, which is heated to a high temperature, whereby radiation heat, served for heating and room heating, may be supplied through the glass tube. Further, the members 8 to be heated carry oxidizing catalyst; therefore, unburnt constituents, carbon monoxide, smell and the like may be prevented from being discharged.
