Abstract
PURPOSE:To shorten the overall length of an objective optical system by using a material which absorbs light of the oscillation wavelength of a YAG laser to form at least one of optical elements in a front group and rear group and forming interference films on the joint faces of the optical element and/or the exist face of the rear group. CONSTITUTION:At least one piece of the optical elements in the front group and the rear group is formed of the material which absorbs the light of the oscillation wavelength of the YAG laser and the interference films 16, 17 which reflect the light of the oscillation wavelength of the YAG laser are formed on the joint faces in the front group and the rear group and/or the exit face of the rear group and, therefore, IR light can be sufficiently removed without having a filter space. The overall length is consequently short and the size is small. Since an IR absorption type cut filter 15 for adjusting visual sensitivity is disposed in the position behind a planoconvex lens 14 which is the rear side lens, i.e., the position where the main rays are parallel, the colors within the visual field are uniformized.
