Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled thermostable combined filament yarn having excellent strength and elongation characteristics, by dividing a melt spun yarn into two yarn groups, applying different oiling agents to the respective yarn groups and winding the oiled yarn groups at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:A melt spun yarn is divided into two yarn groups (A) and (B) and a straight-type oiling agent is applied to the yarn group (A). An aqueous emulsion type oiling agent is applied to the yarn group (B). The resultant yarn groups are then taken off by a take-off roller and continuously heat-treated for 3X10<-3>-10X10<-3>sec while being drawn between the take-off roller and a draw roller at 100-180 deg.C and 1.1-2.0 times and then wound at >=4500m/min speed to afford the aimed combined filament yarn. Furthermore, the heat treating time at the draw roller is preferably 5X10<-3>-7X10<-3>sec.
