CONSTITUTION:A lower forming matrix 3 having a parting film 3c of CrN, etc., formed by ion plating, etc., on the forming surface having a desired aspherical shape, etc., of the forming matrix main body 3a made of a WC-Ni based sintered hard alloy, etc., and an upper forming matrix 2 made of the same material and having a parting film 2a on its flat forming surface are inserted into a cylindrical heating ring 1 contg. a heater 1a to form a pressforming die. A forming die material 4 consisting of glass, etc., is arranged between a couple of the upper and lower forming matrices 2 and 3, and heated by the heater 1a to a temp. close to the siftening point of the material 4. The upper forming matrix 2 is pressed on the material 4 at about 50 kg/cm<2> pressure, for example, through a pressing device and kept under such conditions for about one hour, and the material is formed.
