PURPOSE:To realize a uniform cutting job by reducing automatically the cutting speed at a corner part in response to the increment of the cutting area on the cut section of a work in an inner cutting process. CONSTITUTION:The input conditions are given to a cutting program and the data on this program are analyzed by a data analyzing part 11 so that a function generator can react in real time based on the cutting program and a parameter proper to the NC. A function generator 12 of a controller which performs the segment calculation decides the presence or absence of a corner override. When a corner override is decided, the present position information on a tool is read for decision whether the tool present position passed through the override starting point or not. If so, a segment is calculated based on a ratio between a basic speed and a cutting area. An axis control CPU 13 changes the cutting speed via the segment obtained by the generator 12. A spindle motor 16 is driven at said changed speed.
