Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the service life of refractory in a refining vessel by giving molten metal circular flow under inclining condition of the refining vessel, bringing into contact and mixing with refining agent and giving the molten metal the circular flow under horizontal condition of the vessel at the time of coagulating and separating the refining agent. CONSTITUTION:In inside of rotating magnetic field generating coil 1 horizontally set, the refining vessel 2 lining the refractory 3 in inside thereof is mounted on the base frame 6 supported with plural hydraulic cylinder (supporting legs) 5 and the lower part thereof is supported with supporting parts 7. In this constitution, the refining agent is charged into the molten metal 4 in the vessel 2 and the circular flow is given to the molten metal 4 by the coil 1 and also the refining is executed under inclining condition of the vessel 2 with the cylinders 5. Next, at the time of coagulating and separating the refining agent after containing impurities in the molten metal 4, the circular flow is given to the molten metal 4 under the horizontal condition of the vessel 2. By this method, the rapid flux refining can be executed without giving the refractory 3 any damage.
