Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an inorganic binder for use in concrete etc., improved in acid resistance by incorporating specified amount of a metal silicofluoride in a mixture of blast furnace granulated slag and alkali activator. CONSTITUTION:The objective hydraulic inorganic binder comprising (A) 100pts. wt. of blast furnace granulated slag, (B) 0.5-20pts.wt. of an alkali activator made up of at least one kind of compound selected from alkali metal hydroxides, alkali metal carbonates and alkali metal bicarbonates, and (C) 0.5-15pts.wt. of at least one kind of metal silicofluoride selected from sodium silicofluoride, magnesium silicofluoride, potassium silicofluoride and calcium silicofluoride. This binder is outstanding in acid resistance, being high in both strength and durability. Using this binder, at least the inner surface of a Hume pipe is formed.
