Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a screen quality from being deteriorated by providing a container with holes and positioning/fixing an electron beam controlling means through these holes against a phosphor screen disposed on the container. CONSTITUTION:One of containers 1a and 1b divided in two is provided with holes 4. An electrode composite (an electron beam controlling means) 3 disposed inside this container 1a is positioned/fixed through the holes 4 against the one container 1a coated with a phosphor screen 2, and next the holes 4 are sealed. Accordingly, positioning of the phosphor screen 2 to the electrode composite 3 is performed with good precision because they have no effect of a positioning shift due to heat generated when the containers 1a and 1b are stuck to each other by firing. Hence, screen quality can be improved.
