Abstract

PURPOSE: To keep a warp of cat walk in a constant state and to prevent the occurrence of excessive sagging by a method wherein a load equivalent to a suspension bridge cable is previously exerted on a cat walk and the load is removed according to the progress of a work to span a strand wire. CONSTITUTION: A rope 19 equivalent to a total weight of a finally erected cable is placed on a cat walk 15 finally arranged in a suspension state between cat walks 15. The two ends of the rope 19 are respectively connected to respective tower saddles 17 through a tension regulating device 20. Since, when a space between the tower saddles is spanned with, in order, strand wires 3 by a strand induction device 10, the cat walk 15 is bent by the weight of the strand wire 3, a deflection force is offset by regulating tension by a tension regulating device 20, the deflection of the cat walk 15 is held at initial set deflection. This constitution prevents the occurrence of excessive unevenness in sagging between the strand wires.
