Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable plating with superior adhesion and to obtain electronic parts, etc., having superior mechanical and electrical characteristics by roughening the surfaces of prescribed molded resin articles and treating the roughened surfaces with a mixed acid soln. contg. chromic acid, etc., to carry out pretreatment before metal plating. CONSTITUTION:A compsn. consisting of an arom. polythio-ether sulfone copolymer and polyphenylene sulfide resin or further contg. an inorg. filler by <=250wt.% of the amt. of the resin components is prepd. The compsn. is molded and the surfaces of the resulting molded articles are roughened by chemical treatment. The roughened surfaces are subjected to acid treatment with a mixed acid soln. contg. chromic acid and treatment with a soln. of hydrofluoric acid or ammonium hydrogenfluoride.
