Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the titled superlattice to be a superconductor for high temperature use and free from rare earth and alkaline earth metal elements, by forming, in a copper-silver-gold-palladium alloy having one-dimensional long- period structure, each atom pair of O and the above elements and forming each atom pair into long-period structure. CONSTITUTION:O atoms are infiltrated into the interstitial positions of Cu3Au, Cu3Pt, Ag3Mg, Ag3Cd, and Cu3Pd to be one-dimensional and two-dimensional long-period structures, by which each atom pair of Cu, Ag, Au, and Pd and O is formed. At this time, if an antiphase region exists in the superlattice, partial disorder occurs to the configuration of the atom pair, and so, it is preferable that an antiphase boundary is as short as possible and it is necessary to regulate the composition so that the antiphase boundary is as short as possible. By this method, a superconducting material of >=77K can be manufactured without the use of rare earth elements and alkaline earth elements, and further, the necessity of heat treatment at high temp. can be obviated.
