Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the welded joint strength by first performing the build-up welding on each groove face of two kinds of ferrite or martensite materials with the different Cr content with welding materials having the same components and afterward, making the difference in the Cr content between adjacent weld metals to a specific value.
CONSTITUTION: Two kinds of steels with the different Cr content are first subjected to build-up welding on each groove face with the welding materials having the same components as respective base metals. Next, one or both groove faces are subjected to build-up by welding for reclaim so that the difference in the Cr content between the weld metals is made to ≤4%. By this method, the welded joint strength can be increased.
