る予定である。本船が航行中に救命艇を進水させ
る場合第1図、第2図の要領図で示すように救命
艇を本船側より振り出し降下のとき、吊綱Rの斜
め引きを防止するため救命艇の先端部に取付けた
曳綱Pで救命艇Bを引張ると救命艇の離脱装置L
が比較的に離脱し易く又ダビツト先端滑車Sより
吊綱のはずれも少いと言われ、従来は本船上から
曳綱の一端を人間が支えるか又は固定し、進水後
吊綱を伝つて本船から救命艇に移乗する軽業的な
操作が行なわれて来たが、火災発生時は非常に危
険であり人命尊重の立場からも問題点となつてい
た。

せ、救命艇の着水するとき艇内操作ロープをゆる
めウインチのブレーキレバーを停止状態となしこ
れを連動して爪車に爪が噛合つて固定されるため
曳綱を介して本船から救命艇を曳綱し安全に発進
させることができる。
