Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve solvent-and alkalinity-resistance by molding solvent- resistant porous particles using a cross-linking copolymer of noncross-linking monomer and cross-linking monomer as raw material and limiting the grain diameter of the particles to 5-300mum. CONSTITUTION:Solvent-resistant porous particles with a grain diameter of 5-300mum are formed using a cross-linking copolymer formed of noncross-linking monomer and a cross-linking monomer. As for the above-mentioned cross-linking copolymer, one containing 10-90wt.% of cross-linking monomer is favorable, and having a hydrophobic noncross-linking monomer as a component is also favorable. The porous particles obtained are highly solvent- and alkalinity- resistant, and besides, their compatibility with the characteristics of a sample can be improved by controlling the physical properties and porosity of the particles. Consequently, the sample having pretreating accuracy is obtained and therefore, liquid chromatography can be performed with superior precision and high efficiency.
