Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent rot root of a cultured plant, by providing a culture solution tank composed of a water-impermeable outer cylinder and an inner cylinder made of a water-permeable material resistance to penetration of the root of a plant, placing the culture tank above a culture solution tank and attaching a siphon tube to the bottom part of the outer cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A detachable culture tank 13 is placed on the upper surface of a lid 12 of a culture solution tank 11. The culture tank 13 is composed of a cylindrical outer cylinder 14 made of a plastic and a cylindrical inner cylinder 15 made of sintered plastic. The inner cylinder 15 allows the permeation of water through the minute spaces remaining between the sintered plastic spheres and is resistant to the penetration of plant root since the space is too narrow to pass a plant root. The culture solution in the culture solution tank 11 is pumped up into the inner cylinder 15 of the culture tank with a pump 18 and the liquid levels in the inner cylinder 15 and the outer cylinder 14 are gradually raised. Accordingly, the liquid level in a siphon tube 19 is also raised. When the level reaches a prescribed level, the culture solution in the inner cylinder 15 and the outer cylinder 14 is discharged to the culture solution tank 11 through the discharging hole 17 of the outer cylinder 14.
