Abstract

PURPOSE:To carry out heat-set of spun yarn in high efficiency, by placing a plurality of heat-treatment chambers between a fine-spinning frame and a winder and heat-treating a yarn in a heat-treating chamber while delivering a treated bobbin and introducing fresh bobbin with another heat-treating chamber. CONSTITUTION:Plural (2 in the figure) heat-treating chambers 1, 1' are placed between a fine-spinning frame 21 and a winder 22 and the chambers are connected with each other through an inlet-side conveyor 5 and an outlet-side conveyor 9. A heat-treating chamber 1 is transferred from the position between both conveyors 5, 9 to the other side and the spun yarn is subjected to heat-set by blasting steam into the chamber in the course of introducing a fine-spun bobbin 23 into or delivering the bobbin from the other heat-treating chamber 1' in a state mounted on a peg stand 30. After the heat-set treatment, the heat- treating chamber 1 is returned to the position between the conveyors to carry out the delivery of a fine-spun bobbin 23 and the introduction of another fine- spun bobbin 23 and, at the same time, the heat-treating chamber 1' is removed from the position between the conveyors to perform heat-treatment of a bobbin.
