Abstract

PURPOSE:To readily obtain a flat yarn assuming elegant gloss without glittering metallic gloss, by dry spinning a spinning solution consisting of an acrylonitrile based polymer using a specific spinneret. CONSTITUTION:A spinning solution (preferably 28-35wt.% concentration) consisting of an acrylonitrile based polymer containing >=85wt.% acrylonitrile is dry spun through a spinneret having plural small hole groups of 3-7 small holes, having 0.05-0.3mm hole diameter and arranged in the form of straight lines at 0.05-1.0mm interval, preferably at 200-300m/min spinning speed to afford the aimed flat yarn. Furthermore, the spinneret having the hole diameter (D) and hole interval (L) satisfying the formula 1.2<=L/D<=3.5 is preferred.
