Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording sheet which is efficient in surface staining resistance and flaw resistance, by laminating a polymer film at low temperature on an upper part of a thermal coloring layer. CONSTITUTION:An opaque layer is formed by a binder containing dispersed pigments. A thermal coloring layer 2 is provided on an opaque base material 1 having this opaque layer on one side or both sides of a transparent film, and a protection layer 3 which is good in flaw resistance is provided by laminating a polymer film on an upper part of said thermal coloring layer. Thus, removal of surface stain becomes easy, and water resistance and solvent resistance become prominent. Besides, recording images such as bar codes or the like are never damaged even by abrasion owing to repetitive reading operation or the like of OCR, and the thermal coloring layer can be protected.
