Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase driving torque, by raising an elastic progressive wave with a piezoelectric body and by providing a resonance circuit means to a rotor pressure-welded thereto. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic motor is composed in enclosing a stator 30 and a rotor 40 to the housing consisting of a cover body 21 and a base body 22. This stator 30 is composed of an elastic body 31 on the stator side having a ring-shaped pressure-welded section 31a and of a piezoelectric body 32, while the rotor 40 is composed of an elastic body 41 on the rotor side having a ring- shaped friction section 41a, a rubber vibration insulator 42 and a tabular elastic member 43. To the elastic body 41 on the rotor side an annular iron core solenoid 60 made up of a coil 62 to an iron core 61 is installed and a piezoelectric body 63 is stuck annularly. This piezoelectric body 63 forms a resonance circuit means of oscillation frequency together with a solenoid 60. A standing wave of the same oscillation frequency as in an elastic progressive wave can thereby be raised to the rotor 40 by the resonance circuit means and the driving force improved by interlocking the elastic progressive wave with the standing wave.
