CONSTITUTION:When an electric current is applied on a coil 24, strong magnetic force is generated in a coil 24, and a rotor 21 is magnetized to form a magnetic path 33, so that a driven-side armature 26 is attracted to the rotor 21 against the spring force of a spring 30. At this time, according to the degree of intensification of the friction material of a synchronizer 28 contacting the rotor 21 and the armature 26, the torque capacity transmitted from the drive side to the driven side is gradually increased and the rotational frequency of the armature 26 approaches the rotational frequency of the rotor 21. At the time of the rotational frequencies of the armature and the rotor are synchronized, a tooth 22 and a tooth 27 are meshed to connect the drive side rotor 27 and the driven side armature 26. Accordingly, the relative rotation can be decreased without control by frictional force produced by electromagnetic force.
