CONSTITUTION:A rotor 10 is composed of a core section 11 made up of a magnetic material and an outer circumferential section 13 consisting of a permanent magnet 14 incorporated in the core section 11. The outer circumferential section 13 is composed of the axially alternate-laminating sections 14, 16 of the permanent magnet and a nonmagnetic member and retaining rings 15, 17 closely arranged on the outer circumferential surface sides of the alternatelaminating layers. Both sides of the retaining rings 15, 17 are engaged and held to sidewall sections 12.
