Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate reclosing and improve reliability, by a method wherein a plurality of superconductive current limiting units is arranged in series and parallel while a switch, throwing or cutting respective current limiters into or from a circuit, is provided to control the superconductive current limiting units. CONSTITUTION:A current limiter 1 is constituted of a plurality of superconductive current limiting units 2, consisting of oxide high-temperature superconductive bodies having critical temperature higher than the boiling point of liquid nitrogen and arranged in series and parallel. Switches 3 for throwing or cutting off respective superconductive current limiting units 2 are controlled by a controller 4 whereby the current limiting units 2 may be thrown into or separated from a circuit. The parallel units 2 may be used sequentially upon multi-reclosing while the series units 2 may be used upon abnormal of current limiting.
