Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the appearance of the pipe without deteriorating chlorine water resistance by arranging an outer layer made of ethylene resin to which carbon black is added and an inner layer made of ethylene resin to which black colorant other than carbon black is added. CONSTITUTION: Furnace black and the like that has been used so far may be used as the carbon black added to the outer layer of the pipe. In order to make the pipe weather resistant, about 1-5 weight % shall be added to the resin. Aniline black is preferably used as the black colorant other than carbon black added to the innermost layer of the pipe. Such black colorant can color polyethylene pipes to black without deteriorating chlorine water resistance thereof as carbon black does.
