Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify the manufacturing processes of bathtub by forming a slip stop member whose core plate is integrated with the base part, through insert molding on the occasion that a bathtub lid is molded from a plastic material. CONSTITUTION: A slip stop member 3 and core plate 5 formed in a single piece are insert molded in a die which is to make a bathtub lid, and molten polypropylene is injected into the die. Thereby a recess 6 in compliance with the shape of the base end side part of the slip stop member 3, i.e., inward directed projections 4, and the shape of the core plate 5 is formed simultaneously at the rear surface 2 of the body 1 of bathtub lid to be produced. At this time, the core plate 5 is softened by the fusion heat of polypropylene and is fusion attached to the lid body 1. Thus the intended bathtub lid can be obtained where the slip stop member 3 is held in the half-buried condition in the recess 6.
