Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance an anti-sticking effect and suppress abrasion of heat generating elements of a thermal head, by adding a small amount of an anionic surfactant to a polyethylene glycol type nonionic surfactant. CONSTITUTION:A surfactant comprises a polyethylene glycol type nonionic surfactant as a main constituent, with an anionic surfactant added thereto, in a thermal stencil paper in which a thermoplastic film is adhered to a porous base and a thin layer comprising the surfactant is provided on the surface of the film. The nonionic surfactant may be an ester-type substance, or may be an ether-type substance, an amine/amide type substance or the like. The anionic surfactant may be a carboxylic acid salt type substance, a sulfonic acid salt type substance, a sulfuric acid ester type substance, a phosphoric acid ester salt type substance or the like. The anionic surfactant is added in an amount of 2-20pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of the nonionic surfactant.
